CHAMPS weekend is here! This season has flown by. We can’t wait to see you all again on deck this weekend at Cherokee for our championship games. The Champs schedule is updated, and a separate sheet includes the Champs brackets and seedings. 

VOLUNTEERS: 

TWO volunteers will be required for each match played this weekend or the league will fine the club $50. We will need EACH family to volunteer for a match. If not available, we will require you to help with our year-end party or board position next year!  Please sign up ASAP to secure your preferred position.  Please note: If we are HOME (Light Caps) we are required to run the clock. HINT: Dev games have a running clock so it's MUCH easier! Please review rules, videos, and/or cheat sheets for volunteer information:

SPECTATORS: 

1. Admission

• There will be a $10 admission fee for spectators 13+ years old. Spectators can pay the full weekend fee of $20 up front if they wish. A spectator is defined as a non-athlete or non- coach.
• Volunteers will administer a wristband to all spectators when they enter the facility.

2. Concessions

• GWPL will sell food, snacks, and drinks both days all weekend long.
• GWPL will also be selling hats and shirts for $20. Availability is limited! Get yours before the season ends!

3. On-deck access

• GWPL will operate a "check-in" table downstairs prior to entering the pool deck.
• Similar to other game weekends, only Athletes, Coaches, and Volunteers will be allowed on deck. Spectators must stay upstairs.
• Photographers are permitted; they can check in at the table and will receive a lanyard.

GAME DAY INFO: 1. Seeding & Brackets

• Champs game play will begin based on season seeding. Seeding is available here.
• Our Dev, Girls, and Boys teams will ALL COMPLETE!! If you have any scheduling conflicts, please contact your coach directly!! 
• Winners will continue to advance to the Championships. Games will be Round Robin for 5-7th.
• Tie-Breakers: In the event of a tie after regular game time ends, teams will immediately go into penalty shots to settle the tie.
• Following each game victory, teams will meet at the Bracket Board (located upstairs) to advance their name along the bracket!

2. Safety and Procedures

• Unruly spectators will not be permitted. If a fan is ejected from the game, the team of their affiliation will be fined $250. Our refs are trained to control the game.
