WAPO Week Ahead
Good Evening Water Polo Families,
We are pumped about our first weekend of competition!! If this was your first experience, we hope you had fun! Our Girls' Team won 3/3 matches, Boys Team won 3/3 beating an undefeated (for MANY seasons) Wildcat A team, and our Development Team had a very strong start winning 1/2. Congratulations to all our athletes and coaches!! All scores for every match in the league are recorded via the Georgia Water Polo website. We continue to encourage you to share your love of the sport and invite friends to join, especially our Girls and Development teams! This is the best time to join because our coaches will be covering a lot of basics for these two teams in particular.
VOLUNTEERS: Thank you to all those that volunteered this first weekend! Each family is required to volunteer to help us run our season smoothly. Volunteering early in the season will allow for training resources on the job. There are MANY matches throughout the weekend. Our development matches are a bit slower paced & a great way to learn the clock or keeping the book!! Please sign up to volunteer as soon as possible - feel free to volunteer more than once: repetition is super helpful!! Feel free to check out our resources for any information regarding referee hand signals, spectators guide to water polo, or videos on "keeping the book".

- 9:30am - 10:30pm Panda Express Fundraiser (online code 3840346 for orders placed on order.pandaexpress.com or the Panda app. and physical Flyer Attached to take into the store and share with friends)
- Practice 7pm @ West Gwinnett Aquatic Center
Saturday, August 23: All Matches at Steve Lundquist Aquatic Center @ 9040 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro GA (Approximately 1 hour drive). PLEASE LET YOUR COACH KNOW ASAP IF YOU HAVE ANY CONFLICTS WITH YOUR MATCHES THIS WEEKEND. Please also plan NOW using the Group Me if your athlete needs a ride. This is a big weekend for our Development Team with 4 matches!! So rest, fuel, and hydrate!!

TEAM SHIRTS: Our second order for team shirts will be placed this WEDNESDAY!! If you registered after 8/6, your athlete will automatically receive a shirt. If you would like additional shirts for parents, siblings, or your fan club, order your Team Tshirt before Wednesday!!
