IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Good Evening Families,
Our first weekend of play is upon us & we are very excited to be back in the competition pools!! PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EMAIL as it contains important REMINDERS and INFORMATION for ongoing communication!
GROUP ME: We use the "Group Me" app for important updates and coach communications. If you are new to Group Me, please download the app and join our main Norcross Water Polo chat https://groupme.com/
WHAT TO BRING:
- Please arrive at LEAST 30 MINUTES prior to your game time (Coach Mariana would like the GIRLS TEAM to arrive 1 hour before their FIRST MATCH).
- Players should bring suit, towel, and water bottle.
- Clip your nails so they’re short and smooth.
- Players upload a photo (selfie) to USA Water Polo or be prepared to show photo id at the match (a student ID works for those who do not have a drivers licence).
- Rest, hydrate, and come ready to play!!
VOLUNTEERS: Each family is required to volunteer to help us run our season smoothly. We are required to have TWO volunteers work the table for EACH MATCH. We currently have had NO VOLUNTEERS sign up, so please take a moment and sign up for ONE MATCH this weekend! Volunteering early in the season will allow for training resources on the job. There are MANY matches throughout the weekend. You may choose to volunteer at ANY of the matches!! Please sign up to volunteer as soon as possible - feel free to volunteer more than once: repetition is super helpful!! Feel free to check out our resources for any information regarding referee hand signals, spectators guide to water polo, or videos on "keeping the book". If you are a veteran, please SIGN UP and encourage a few new parents to join you at the table. We also encourage interteam cheering, so please come early or stick around to watch the other teams play!

Saturday, August 16: All Matches at Cherokee Aquatic Center - 1200 Wellstar Way, Canton, GA 30114 (Approximately 45 minute drive)
12pm Norcross Girls vs Wildcat
2pm Boys vs Chamblee
3pm APS Girls vs Norcross Girls
5pm APS vs Boys
Sunday, August 17:
10am Norcross Girls vs Chamblee
12pm Chamblee Dev vs Norcross Dev
4pm APS Dev vs Norcross Dev
5pm Boys vs Wildcat
TEAM SHIRTS: If you registered or ordered team Tshirts on or before Wednesday August 6th, your Tshirts are being handed out at practice tonight!! A special thanks to our Seniors who designed the Tshirts as part of a long-standing club tradition!! We also want to Patricia Todebush for managing the process and Emily Stevenson for the final graphic design!! If you registered on or after Thursday August 7th or would still like to order your Team Tshirt we will be placing additional orders next week!
